The sociotherapist in relation to colleagues and other members of the treatment team
Cooperation with the sociotherapeutic team
- The sociotherapist creates conditions for and takes part in discussions with colleagues about work. The sociotherapist examines his experience, insight and theoretical background, and attunes these to his colleagues.
- The sociotherapist takes care that there is adequate transference of information and discussion with colleagues.
- The sociotherapist works together with colleagues for the sake of the optimal treatment of the client and the (community) group.
- The sociotherapist who notices that a colleague's behavior could damage a client, takes measures to protect the client.
- The sociotherapist who thinks that a colleague is not conforming to the professional code, tackles him about it.
- The sociotherapist supports colleagues in the execution of the work and especially when they get into trouble because they have followed the professional code.
- The sociotherapist who, for reasons of principle, cannot participate in a certain part of the treatment, consults with colleagues.
Cooperation with the treatment team
- The sociotherapist makes sure that the other members of the treatment team are aware of his position in the organization, his tasks, his competence and responsibilities.
- The sociotherapist works together with the other members of the treatment team in ensuring the optimal treatment of the client and the community as a whole.
- The sociotherapist is aware of the place in the organization, of the tasks, competence and responsibilities of the members of the treatment team.
- The sociotherapist who notices that the behavior of a member of the treatment team is liable to harm a client, takes measures to protect the client.
The sociotherapist in relation to the professional group
- The sociotherapist supports the activities that aim at creating better conditions for the execution of the professional work.
- The sociotherapist contributes to the development of sociotherapeutic activities and methods.
- The sociotherapist dedicates himself to the working conditions that contribute to the optimal execution of the profession.
